The pioneering spirit notwithstanding, meticulously research
was necessary before the Jinasena Paddy Thresher and Reaper made its debut
in 1978. Its popularity led to a separate company Jinasena Agriculture
Machinery (Pvt) Limited beingformed to cope with the demand.
Today, this machine apart, there is a range comprising Bush/Weed cutters,
‘Ground Master’ playground mowers, Pepper Threshers, Rotary Tillers,
Choppers, Sievers, Grinders and Copra Edge cutters, while the assembly of 2
and 4-wheel tractors complete the picture. And the research and development
continue in a modern, fully-equipped factory situated some 18km out of
Colombo.
Jinasena agricultural machinery now reaches discerning buyers not only at
home but also in the Asian and African regions.
